By Michael Louis

As a bride, you probably have your own dream wedding and you want to make it come true as much as possible. Wedding planning may sound really simple and really want to make your dream wedding without thinking of the things that may go wrong. Besides, who would want to think about bad things on their wedding day?

To get you started on planning your wedding party, here are a few tips for you to consider. Besides, only happens once in your life, so why not make it the best occasion?

First things first, when planning a wedding party, you should be realistic. What this means is that you should be able to determine all the things involved, especially the cost. Some people go to any lengths and spend a lot of money on their wedding just to make their dreams come true and ended up spending a lot of money and still unhappy with it.

Heres some advice - you dont need to get into debt just to throw a great party. Your guests are there to have fun and see you on your big day and not to see the ornaments. They will probably not notice the ornaments anyway when you are there in the room. What you need in your wedding isnt all those things, but you just have to enjoy your day with your family and friends.

Wedding parties are supposed to be fun. So, you shouldnt have to make your wedding party very extravagant. You should just make it fun. Hire a band for your wedding party that can throw in a couple of jokes for the guests and will let guests participate by singing.

You should also make sure that the seating arrangements assigned to someone that they will be comfortable with. If you want your wedding to stay organized and at the same time save money, you can hire a wedding party planner. These people will know about your needs and you can tell them the details of your dream wedding party.

Party planners will take care of everything, you just have to sit back and relax while they take care of the party. They will plan everything from the cake, the reception and they can even take care of the food.

All you have to do is tell the party planner about your budget. They will be able to give you the best party possible according to your budget.

You would really want to hire a party planner for your wedding party because you will never handle all the stress involved in the party. All you have to do is check up on the party planner once in a while. This is to make sure that everything is going smoothly.

Make your wedding party so much fun that the guests, your new husband and especially you will have fun. Make it enjoyable and also consider the kids who will be at the party.

Dont forget to give your guests a little memorabilia to remember the party. It is one of the things that they will truly appreciate and will really thank you for a great gift. They will also appreciate the party and the way they had a great time with it.

Always remember that your wedding party need not be too expensive. All you need is a little creativity in order for your guests to have fun and really enjoy your big day.

4 Basic Steps to Begin Your Wedding Planning

4 Basic Steps to Begin Your Wedding Planning
By Bonnie Ray

Every little girl dreams of her wedding , but dreaming and wedding planning are too different things. Making your dream a reality doesnt have to be a nightmare. With a few simple tips and a lot of planning you can have the wedding of your dreams.

There are basically four decisions you have to make before anything else can be planned. The first decision you must make is what style you want for your wedding, a formal or informal wedding. This decision will help you decide on everything from the wedding invitations to what the attendants will wear. Remember to keep the same level of formality throughout the whole wedding process. You dont want to send out formal invitations and then have your attendants dressed informally.

Once you decide on the style of your wedding, the next step is what you want in a reception. Deciding where it will be held is the first step , either indoors or outdoors. Once you have decided where it will be held you must decide what type of reception you want. There are buffet style receptions or more elegant cocktail receptions on the terrace. Are your guests going to enjoy dancing and a five course dinner or croquet on the lawn and a barbecue.

Next is setting your budget. In order to set your budget you need a general idea of how many guests will be at the wedding. Have a target amount that you want to spend. If you find yourself going over you can always adjust down the road. Make sure you set aside a reasonable amount for the number of guests you're inviting. Wedding planning is stressful enough.

The last decision to be made before you can really start your wedding planning is the time of year. If you're dreaming of a beautiful garden filled with flowers or a candlelight ceremony with the bridesmaids in red velvet then you have to choose the right time of year. You cant have your bridesmaids in red velvet in the middle of the summer.

Just Remember you dont have to make all the decisions yourself. Allow family and friends to help as much as possible with the decisions. If you're unsure where to start have some friends over for a wedding planning party. There wont be a lack of ideas, the hard part will be choosing the ones you like best. Now that you have made the four basic decisions about your wedding planning you can take a deep breath and give yourself a pat on the back because this in only the beginning.

3 Keys To Giving A Wedding Gift That Will Be A Keeper!

3 Keys To Giving A Wedding Gift That Will Be A Keeper!
By Ryan Rutman

1.)Put yourself in the couple's shoes: When considering what to get a couple for their big day, think back to when you got married to remember what gifts you received that stand out in your mind today and are still favorites of you and your spouse. If you have never been married, think about what you would want in terms of a gift that would make a long lasting impression on you. Probably something personal would make a long lasting impression. The goal is to give a gift that you know will be unique compared to every other gift the newlyweds receive.

2.)Make it Unique & Personal: There is only one sure fire way to give a gift that you know will leave a long lasting impression on a newly married couple. Be sure the gift is Unique and Personalized in some way. There are many different ways to do this whether you know the couple well or not. Simply use your imagination. A gift that is unique compared to all other gifts and one that is personalized will be a timeless gift for the couple and you will always be remembered for it.

3.)Avoid Gift Registries: If there is one thing I am sure of in this world, it is that when you buy a gift through a department store gift registry, you are taking the easy way out. Yes, I am sure that major retailers make very healthy profits from these registries and they are a great tool for gift buyers, but they are still the easy way out. How much creativity does it take, and how unique can a gift be if it comes from a registry. I am sure that there are rare occasions when a gift from a registry is creative and unique, but how personal can it be. Couples like and appreciate personalized gifts that reflect them as a couple and their relationship. Personalized gifts never get returned! They get admired for a lifetime!

Why Should I Store My Wedding Dress?

Why Should I Store My Wedding Dress?
By Rick Johnston

Your Wedding was beautiful; you will never forget the look you got from your new husband as he saw you for the first time in your gown. When remembering your day, you dont want it all to just be a fond memory, but rather be able to look back years and years later at the wedding dress you picked only to find it yellowed over time because it was not tended to properly! Therefore, after the wedding is over and you have settled into married life, an important aspect of the blessed day needs to be tended to one last time. Your wedding dress deserves to be preserved so that it wont be yellowed due to time and it will look as beautiful as the day you first wore it. It is very important that if you dont want your white, ivory, candlelight or cream colored gown to turn yellow to look into what is considered storage of your wedding dress. This is especially important if you would like to pass it on to your future daughters.

In order to preserve the dress the place you take it to will place it in a box of some type and remove all of the air inside the box. By removing the oxygenated air, your dress and veil(s) will and should remain the color as when you bought them.

There are several places that will provide this service for you and at various costs. Sometimes if you return to the place you purchased your dress they will give you a discounted price for the preservation of your dress and veil(s). There are several dry cleaners that offer this option as well. It is important that you are as comfortable with the company you choose to preserve your wedding dress as you were with the company you chose to provide you with the dress in the first place. Find out their costs and their guarantees.

The whole idea of preserving your dress is always a good idea, after all you never know who will want to use it in your family and the price of it and it is definitely worth the investment.

Enhance the Quality of Your Wedding Video: Plug Into A Sound System

Enhance the Quality of Your Wedding Video: Plug Into A Sound System
By Olivia Romero

If you would like to add a professional touch to you do-it-yourself wedding video, then plug into a sound system. These days, many churches have a sound system for the listening convenience of the congregation. Having your wedding ceremony picked up by an audio feed to the camera will really enhance the overall quality of your wedding video.

If there is a sound system in the church ask the audio control operator to give you an audio feed to one of your cameras. This means running an audio cable from the sound system into the mic input jack on your camera. Check the quality of the audio feed by powering-up the camera and listening through your headset which should also be plugged into the camera.

The main audio control board of the system usually has either a 1/4 or 1/2 jack marked Line Level or Mic Level output. Plug one end of your audio cable into the Mic Level output and the other end into your camera. Ask the audio operator if he has an extra microphone cable that you can use. If not, you can rent one or you can inexpensively purchase one at your local Radio Shack. Just make sure its long enough for your purposes.

Another piece of optional audio equipment you may want to rent or buy is a hand-held microphone. This microphone plugs into your camera through the external mic input jack and allows you to capture better audio and gives you better range. You can also check the quality of this audio by having someone speak into the microphone while you listen through the headset.

This is a pre-production task you might want to take care of at least a week before the wedding. You will then have sufficient time to acquire an audio cable. You don't want to be scrambling to get what you need the morning of the wedding.

If the church doesn't have a sound system and the budget allows it, you can also rent a wireless lavaliere mic that the minister will clip to his clothes, and a receiver you will plug into the external mic input jack on the camera. You can tape the receiver unit to one of the legs of the camera tripod with duct tape. Just be sure to become familiar with the operation of the lavaliere mic and make sure it has fully-charged batteries.

Without an external microphone you will have to rely on the camera microphone which means you have to move in closer to your subject. This shouldnt be a problem because most camera mics are very sensitive. Just make sure you are close enough to your subject by listening through your headset.

Add that professional touch to your wedding video by making sure the audio is the best it can be.

Wedding Colour Themes for Spring and Summer Brides

Wedding Colour Themes for Spring and Summer Brides
By Emily Tanner

Once the proposal has been accepted, the dress ordered, the invitations sent and the venue booked, its time to start thinking about the main colour themes that will be running through the big event. No doubt, your handsome groom has some ideas of which colours he would rather not wear and equally you need to consider what will look good on your bridesmaids. Choosing bridesmaid outfits is more difficult if you have a range of ages, shapes, sizes and hair colour amongst them, which is the case in most bridal parties. Another important consideration is what colours are in the room where the reception will take place.

There is no real reason why you cannot have any colour at any time of year once you have considered all the aforementioned factors, although if we are going to be pedantic about it you should really choose a seasonal colour theme. In other words, go for pinks, light greens, light golds and lilacs in the Spring/Summer and keep browns, creams, reds, and dark golds for the colder months.

Lilacs and hyacinths are always the winners if you are marrying in the Spring or Summer; they have been the most popular bridesmaid dress colours for over 10 years and are still up there as one of the most common colour ways. Dont let this put you off though, in fact, use it to your advantage as it proves that lilac colour themes have been tried, tested, look great, come out great in photographs and suit most people. What more proof do you need? You can make your big day feel more modern by ensuring floral arrangements are fresh and funky. Why not scatter tables with real lilac coloured rose petals and introduce lilac butterflies to your theme? Decorate place cards and napkins with lilac and silver butterflies, scatter them on the tables, incorporate them in lavender and hydrangea floral arrangements and put them on your wedding cake. These days, lilacs are very much en vogue and although have a traditional feel they need not be stayed, stale or old fashioned.

Pink and Silver wedding themes are fast becoming popular for Spring and Summer brides. Every girl wants to feel like a princess on her special day and what better way to do it than with girlie pinks and silvers!? Candy pink generally looks great on all age bridesmaids and those with all hair and skin colours. Equally, pink will look great on the male members of the bridal party, if you can convince them! If your man is anti-pink, why not get him to wear silver? This will co-ordinate beautifully with the pink. Bouquets can be bursting with pink and white blooms dotted with pearls and diamantes. To keep the princess theme going, opt for silver table decorations and foil scatters along with baby pink rose petals.

One of the more modern colour themes to make an appearance this year has been the explosion of greens and yellows. These look absolutely fantastic and depending on how daring you are, will determine how mad you go. If you are going for a simple, calm wedding, why not go for sage green bridesmaids? These will look fabulous when teamed with white and pale gold accessories and flowers. If you are more adventurous go for a tropical yellow and continue the theme with sunflowers and citrus coloured gerbera or for a complete contrast, mix the yellow theme with purple flowers !
